Reference photo for this painting is credited to my friend Mark Hanson. Thank you Mark for letting me paint your amazing capture of these beautiful animals.
This is painted in Corel Painter 12 and 17 using a variety of brushes. There's a lot of artistic licence to this, as I took out all the civilization..house, cars, railroad tracks. This scene is in the Hardy Montana area.
I was told the big ram was hit and killed the other day, so I'm glad I got to paint him into his natural nature surroundings.
